James Holloway is an adventure travel journalist specialising in off-the-beaten-path destinations and overland journeys. Originally from Edinburgh, he spent five years travelling continuously before settling — loosely — in Lisbon. His work has appeared in National Geographic Traveler, The Guardian Travel section, and Rough Guides.
